Ronald's La Barca
Dutchmen Ronald fell in love with Bussana and settled there in 2007. In absence of any available houses, he took up the massive task to construct his own place, on what used to be an area full of rubble on the East side of town. La Barca is sort of a Robinson Crusoe place, where Ronald does whatever he sets his mind on. With his massive bric-a-brac collection It breathes some of the original 'hippie' atmosphere from the 1960s.
La Barca has no license, so there is no menu and there are no bills. Guests are welcome to donate a contribution when they have had drinks or foods.
La Barca also offers free B&B if there are places available, in trade for assisting to run the daily business. Many people love this unique hide-away. Some stay for months. Others consider it more a spiders-web, and many residents are not charmed by the Ronald's very direct approach and conspiracy-theories, but if you are up to it (and many are), La Barca can be a delightful place to linger and make your own pizzas.
Opening hours:
Whenever Ronald likes it, which for sure is not in the morning.
