The large terrace overlooks the sea as well as the main village entrance.
On a crisp morning you may see the island of Corsica in the distance.
Terrace size is over 40m2 so easily seats eight people for dinner.
I've cut a lovers' seat from a plate of italian marble for a seaview and wide terrace edge to watch people go by in the town's main gallery street. The railing has been handcrafted by undersigned, but primarily by Peter, a blacksmith-artist, based on a design I created from 19th century railings in the area.
A handful of deckchairs and cushions are usually stored on the terrace, the recent lounge-bench addition, or in the terrace-bathroom.
A wide pergola with traditional "coppi" rooftiles (salvaged from a medieval house in Piemonte) allows for shade on hot summer days and dining during rainy winter days. Local artists created a series of starshaped floortiles that have been positioned on the terrace in the shape of 'my' Leo constellation sign.
Enjoying the sun which shines over 300 days a year in this area, an afternoon drink or dinner are the obvious activities.
Please also take the opportunity to gaze at the stars at night.
The house is positioned such that there is minimal ambient light interference at night, thereby offering a spectacular view of the stars and the Milky Way.
